I am a dweeb who likes the creation and stories of characters, video games, and strange animations way too much. I enjoy making artwork both traditional and digital, both normal and exaggerated characters.

'Ello

For those who are interested, I might be opening commissions some time in the future. I just want some advice and opinion from people. I know I'll have to write and make a commission sheet with what types of commissions, prices, what I'm willing and not willing to draw, etc. But I just want know if my art is good enough for commissions? Do I need more practice and experience? Is my style of art something that interests you? Any feedback would be helpful and taken into consideration.

For anyone wondering, I received my own drawing tablet for Christmas. Meaning my drawings won't suck as much. I'm happy :)

Today I finished my last day of school. I just have exams and graduation and then I will have fully finished high school. It is a really fucking weird feeling.

Does anyone have any fun Halloween stories? I don't celebrate, I have only ever watched spooky movies that were playing on television.

Wanted to try out this expression sheet, ended up drawing something fucking horrifying. It's the large mouth and no nose.

We've all heard before that all anime look the same, which few do. But all the anime and manga I've seen have pretty distinct styles. That being said, does anyone who reads this think that Chinese and Korean anime look the same? From the few I have seen, the art style is very similar. It's distinct in its own right, but when both Chinese and Korean animes start to have no differentiation, the line between each anime begins to blur.

I know there probably are Chinese and Korean animes that do have distinct styles, but at this point I haven't seen any. The style is how I would describe as flat and stiff. The colours seem flat with little to no gradience or shading regardless of the time of day or positioning of the character or object. Something I noticed is that the characters designs don't really stand out. They all have the same hairstyles, similar sharp-angled faces, and their eyes have no flair. And their clothes don't help either. You have to watch their interactions and observe to see what their personality is. While that's not necessarily a bad thing. With most shows and movies you don't know the characters until you have watched it. I just think it would start to become tedious when you can't remember which character is who by sight.

Some of the animes seem stiff with the animation. Despite the style being a more simpler one, the animation is minimal or stagnant. It's only moving when focusing on a certain point. But I understand that could be because of budget or part of that anime's style.

Keep in mind, I am only referring the style, not each individual anime's story, plot, etc. I know there are some with probably amazing stories and writing, I just wanted to write about this seemingly common art style that I keep seeing. Is Chinese and Korean animes actually similar in style, or is this opinion due to my limited exposure to Chinese and Korean animes? Does anyone have any good recommendations for Chinese and Korean animes?

Is it weird that I genuinely like the JJBA: Diamond is Unbreakable live action movie? I found and watched it yesterday out of curiosity and discovered that I find it quite enjoyable. It's not the best movie, live action manga/anime movies seem to be hit-or-miss, but it could of been a lot worse and definitely has the potential to be built upon if it ever gets picked up again (probably not).

I think the cast was overall well chosen. Some lines were probably better said than others, and the acting was overdramatic at parts. Then again, translating anime-style mannerisms and language into real life doesn't always work. The clothing was changed enough to fit it into a more realistic setting, but still looked like what the characters wear in the manga/anime. Although, I would've loved to see their custom-made, heavily accessorised clothes in real life. Similar to the clothes, the hair was slightly changed to fit in more realistically, so no crazy-coloured hair. They did try to get the crazier hairstyles to look as close as possible, but it still looks weird.

My favourite aspect of the film is the animation and effects. It isn't the best, but I really like the way they animated and translated the Stands into live action. Star Platinum, Crazy Diamond, and The Hand are my favourites, but Echoes and the other Stands don't look too bad either. It's weird they didn't keep Star's signature ora ora cry, but maybe they couldn't due to some reason.

I'll probably watch this movie again. I feel like I'd watch this over the Sonic the Hedgehog movie and Detective Pikachu. I like weird and shitty videos and movies. It's available to rent or buy on YouTube and on some streaming services if anyone who reads this likes JoJo or is just curious.

Apologises for the random rambling post. Just wanted to write about something.
